Why I Ride

August 6, 2012 | By | 3 Comments

I ride my bike because every time I swing my leg over the top tube it makes me feel young, like when I was eight years old, and couldn’t stop pedaling and smiling because I was so enamored with the new found freedom and adventure that two wheels provided.

I ride my bike because each pedal stroke transports me, physically and mentally, to a place where endorphins quickly replace reality.

I ride my bike because I am competitive and thrive on the simultaneous sensations of being humbled and inspired, beat down and fulfilled.

Here at Roctane Ultra Endurance we’d like hear how and why you’re pushing your physical and mental limits, so be sure to leave us a comment. Who knows, you  might be chosen to receive an eight pack of Roctane Ultra Endurance  for sharing your thoughts, so what have you got to lose?

  1. I ride because it vastly expands the area I call “home”. My home now stretches over a hundred km+ radius, and that’s a very freeing feeling.

  2. I run marathons and I push myself physically and mentally because I want to see how fast and how far I can run just for the fun of it!

I ride for the freedom it provides.
