Usage

For Optimal Results, Drink 20-30 Oz. Of Electrolyte-Infused Brew Per Hour During Activity

Human Physiology 101 - Water is a great way to hydrate, right? Well, yes and no. Water of course has the fluid you need because that's what it is - just fluid. Problem is once you start training and racing and drinking lots of water, your body starts using some of that fluid (in muscle contractions and for cooling for example) and gets rid of the rest through a few different mechanisms such as urination because it is just water - the body can store and use only so much pure water. Therein lies the problem - the more straight water you drink the more you lose - a self defeating endeavor if there ever was one. But you're supposed to retain that water to "stay hydrated", right?! What gives?

That's where electrolytes such as sodium and potassium come in -by their very nature they help your body retain the fluid it needs to function properly. That's why drinks with electrolytes are so important for proper hydration - they act as a catalyst to help your body retain fluid necessary for muscles to work properly so you don't lose all that valuable fluid. That's why you need Brew Electrolyte Tablets- because they are fortified with a unique blend of electrolytes, the tablets are a better form of hydrating than water alone. So where you may typically grab a bottle of just water, try Brew Tablets to retain the fluid you need to stay hydrated.

During extended training or racing, Electrolyte Tablets offer a convenient and fast way to enrich straight water (when Electrolyte Brew or an alternative may not be readily available). Ultimately the Brew Electrolyte Tablets are another offering from GU that help athlete’s keep variety in their sports nutrition regimes. Using them with other GU products such as GU Chomps is as simple as swapping them for Electrolyte Brew – an athlete should account for the lower calorie intake and possibly add an extra GU Energy Gel, Roctane or a Serving of Chomps (all roughly 100 calories).

So much better than all the completion including the likes of Gatorade and such. Easy to add to your water bottle and great for drinking while exercising, doesn't leave you with that awful dry mouth feeling. My favorites are the Peach Tea and Pink Grapefruit, everyone I give them to always mentions how great they taste!
  • Great portable drink mix

This is a great product to carry with you on a long ride. Simply drop one tablet in to your water bottle and you have a great tasting drink with electrolyte replenishment. It really help because sometimes on a long ride you have to get water from a hose or other source and that doesn't always taste the best. Awesome product and convenient.

Flavor combined with convenience is what the electrolyte tablets have that keeps me coming back. I often find myself in a rush to get out of the door and these are so easy to work with. Strawberry Lemonade is very refreshing, especially during a long ride.

This is one product I always have in my product mix. Super easy to use, it works great, and there are flavors for everyone. It will make you drink more than if you just trained with plain water and has a great electrolyte content. Highly recommended.
  • Great for the hot days

On cool days, I'm usually pretty content with strait water along with my GU gels or Chomps. On hot days (especially when I was training in AZ this summer!) you have to drink way more fluid than what you can absorb drinking pure water... it needs the salts to absorb at a fast enough rate to stay hydrated as well as to replenish the higher amounts of salt lost in sweat. And these work great for that. Also I usually stay away from any no or low calorie drink because they're plagued by aspartame, but these have stevia which from everything I've read is ok. So go ahead and drop a tab in on any days when you need to be drinking 30oz/hr or more.

Huge variety of flavors, easy to toss in a jersey pocket or backpack (much easier than a bag of powdered drink mix) and mild taste. I loved Nuun until GU started making these. Now i am hooked.
  • Good for pre race

I like to use these the day before an ironman or other long race. On those days I feel like I need more than just water, but don't want the full Gu Brew or something sweeter.
  • Awesome way to make a quick energy drink

Wonderful and extremely convenient for a quick energy drink. Either during the day or in the middle of a long bike ride. I use these a lot during the summer training months and it tastes great. Strawberry Lemonade is the best! Even the little canister is fantastic, a great way to store and carry salt tabs during a run.
