I love this for long marathon training runs, and also for my long bike rides of over 2+ hours. My favorite on the bike, probably because it is so much easier to reach for a drink instead of messing with a gel, chomps, or something like that. The taste is good, light and not hard on the stomache. Great stuff!
Just like the Roctane gels, Roctane Brew is exactly what everyone that can't do gels has been waiting for. So good it seems like cheating.
I love this for my brick workouts - carry bottles on the bike and slam 32oz during the transition to run. It tastes good and gives me the jump i need to start the run!
Overall this product was really good, but I feel like it doesn't improve upon the regular Gu Brew enough to be worth the cost. This is just a personal opinion but while training for my marathon and ultra I slightly preferred the regular Gu Brew only because I enjoyed the flavor more. Great stuff but just not for me!

I use Roctane Brew for long rides when I am going to be out for 3 or more hours. It give me what I need so my body does not canabalize protein from muscles and I can go farther and recover faster after the ride. Roctane EVERY time does the job. Thanks GU
If you enjoyed the taste and performance difference from the original GU to the roctane gel, this is the exact same. Ridiculously easy to drink and ridiculously delicious. Grape is amazing. Like carb loading in liquid form.

This has become my go to for any long distance over 2-3 hours. I use it on my runs and rides as I train for IM distance tri and it really helps me get through the long days without bonking. My favorite flavor is the tropical fruit, DELICIOUS.
I have been competing in mountain bike races for almost 20 years now from the expert to elite levels. Over those years I have used many supplemental products, but at the end of a typical race (2 plus hrs) I would always have stomach issues after finishing. I have not experienced this once since switching to Roctane!

I will start by saying "AHHHHHH" you know that feeling after finishing a run, swim or just pushing past your limits for extra hard burning working out. You know the feeling right, well thats how i feel when I was first introduced to Roctane (i love the tropical fruit flavor) its a great tasting, power housing (yes housing is now a verb) sprinting to the finish line Ultra Endurance Energy Drink! Roctane ultra Endurance drink is just what it says Ultra! it powered me threw a 70.3 triathlon but that was the easy part. Roctane drink, and Recovery Brew got me threw all the 5 am swim work outs, 10k afternoon runs and pushed me threw my four months training leading up to my first triathlon. Roctane had the fuel to help get threw a work out and the Gu Recovery brew had the protein and carbohydrates I need to for my body to get back to 100% quickly and tasting great. So i could go back out there and do it all over the next day.

When I started racing 70.3s, I had not yet discovered Roctane energy drinks. I noticed a considerable difference between two consecutive races when I switched to Roctane. Simply put, I had more energy in my tank by the time I reached the run. I have never dealt with GI issues as a result of using Roctane, and when I alternate between concentrated Roctane drink and water, I actually look forward to drinking it! Good taste, dissolves well. My favorite is Tropical Fruit.

This drink really does give you ultra endurance and will make you preform to the best of your ability. Best sports drink I've ever had hands down.
I used the lemon-lime Roctane drink on a 6 hour training run this summer on the trails. The flavor was a little odd (like lime zest?) but the effect was similar to a Roctane gel -- a good energy lift that lasted a long time. If I were using it in a race, I would train with it to make sure the flavor was palatable over the long haul.
I have had great results using the Roctane drink mix during mountain bike races. It seems to help me push a harder and go farther then previous drinks I have used. I do prefer the lemon-lime flavor. I tried the other 2 and didn't care for the flavor too much, but the lemon-lime is something I can get down when the intensity is high (not always easy for me). Of course, I realize taste is a personal thing.

Tried the fruit punch at a race and loved the favor. Came home from that race and immediately ordered a box of grape. Since that time it's the only powder that goes in my water bottles and is in my bottles for every ride and race.
Having previously suffered from cramping late in races, a friend of mine recommended ultra endurance. He said it's only for events lasting longer than 3 hours. I sipped on one 21 ounce bottle during the second half of my marathon and managed to avoid cramps and fatigue. The taste is great and the sweetness has a perfect balance. It was SUPER friendly on my stomach during and after the race. I've been using this for the last 2 years and recently started using it on my 3+hr long bike rides. I sometimes stack it with GU Roctane gel toward the final push/leg of my race or training and it really helps me drop the hammer. Legit stuff.

I have been racing MTB for a number of years, and have tried most every common mix out there. Roctane is the only one that I have used that didn't result in stomach issues at one point or another. The flavor is perfect, not too strong, not too weak. I use Grape and Punch because they remind me of Kool-aid. This stuff doors for ~1 hour sprints to 100 mile races.
I tried the Grape Roctane while hiking Mount Whitney this past summer. I was surprised at how good it tasted and how much energy I had. When we got to the 99 switchbacks, I had no problem getting through it. I really think the Roctane helped a lot. The only draw back was I was farting the whole way up. My stomach was a mess! Either my girlfriends couldn't keep up, or they were staying back from the funky smell I was leaving behind. With that being said, I highly recommend Roctane. A few bad odors shouldn't stop anyone from reaching thier goals! Ha!
Before I tried Gu Roctane Drink, I had never experienced a nausea-free ride during the bike portion of an Ironman. Since I started using Roctane drink, I've never looked back. For the last three years, it's the only energy drink light enough in taste that it doesn't leave an annoying sugary taste in my mouth - and it digests well so it never sits in my stomach to cause bloating. If I need extra calories, I can add them seamlessly with Roctane gel. But the most amazing thing is getting enough fuel without feeling sick at all for the entire bike leg and being able to transition to my run without stomach issues. I can't thank Gu enough for this.
My 13yo son is a top ranked national tennis player who until now only drank water on the court because the "popular" sports drinks made him feel sick and left him thirstier. Eating bananas or energy bars didn't work either because he does not have an appetite to eat when playing/training hard. I am so happy we finally found something better than water that works! I mix one scoop of Blueberry Pomegranate with one scoop of Tropical Fruit Roctane and it is the most heavenly experience of a lifetime. The Tropical fruit Roctane definitely packs a punch when it comes to energy, especially on the high intensity races or long grueling training rides. I use this for training and racing at the CAT 1 level and my results are consistent. Wouldn't use anything else as the taste and light consistency beats out anything (HEED...blahh).
I have tried numerous other Endurance Drinks out there. The Roctane is by far the best I have ever tried. It is lighter than the other drinks and doesn't overpower you with flavor. My favorite flavor is fruit punch. It greatly aids in my performance and my recovery times. This drink has allowed me to run longer distances, day after day, with little to no fatigue. It is not a miracle drink by any means, but with proper training, this drink WILL improve your performace. I have been using it for three months now and my weekly mileage has jumped from 25 miles/week to 40+ miles/week and my legs have never felt better. I normally don't write reviews, but I had to for such a great product.
I love the grape Roctane drink! It goes down easy on rides and tastes great when mixed with other flavors of Roctane drink and also Gu brew. Pick up a mix of flavors and experiment you won't be disappointed :)
I've used Roctane Endurance Drink in numerous ultra marathons and iron distance triathlons. Hands down the best stuff out there! The grape is BY FAR the best flavor and beats those "popular" brand sports drinks hands down. I'm not sure how it does it but Roctane gives me that extra boost when I need it most. I won't put anything else in my bottles!!!
I have been using roctaine and for training and racing. I am very happy with my preformance using roctaine. If all I need is two bottles, I have my first bottle filled with roctaine the first hour and a bottle of water along with a GU gel the second hour. Grape is my flavor of choice since I am caffeine free. I enjoy the grape flavor! Thanks GU!

This stuff tastes great and packs in a lot of calories easily. I've found it to work well for tough trainer rides when I needed some calories early on to pick me up. I've tried it a few time in races, and it seems it doesn't usually want to stay down all that well... not sure why I don't have this problem on the hard trainer sets but it just seems to be when racing. So, the Roctane gels are my go to for racing (and they work great!) usually just supplemented by water, but on the hottest days I'll throw in the Electrolyte Tabs for some bonus salt.
They taste great, easy to mix, and easy to pack. I generally buy the largest tubs to save a little cash. Then divide up the powder into pre-measured plastic vials.
I've only tasted the Grape and Tropical fruit, I prefer the tropical but the grape is good too. Taste is light enough to not be tasting it later, but not so light that it tastes super watered down.
These are great for just about any activity. A great drink to have after a long night of partying after mountain biking all day.
I tried multiple products before using Gu Roctane Drink. Thise is the first product that has not upset my stomach. I really like the Grape flavor. It is not to sweet and works well in both hot and cold temps. Sometime I even use it on the way to a race when I am nervous and am having trouble eating. It's great because you get some calories and hydration so you know you can perform at your best.
