Call to Protect Public Lands

Last week President Trump signed an executive order directing Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to review all National Monument designations larger than 100,000 acres from the past 21 years to determine whether their boundaries are consistent with the intent of the Antiquities Act. This review opens the door to reversing decisions made by Clinton, Bush, and Obama to protect public lands from resource extraction and development. Bears Ears, Grand Canyon-Parashant, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments are all on the list for review.

We Believe in Protecting the Places We Play

Our company’s core values include accountability, longevity, and love. Guided by these values, we believe we have an obligation to stand against threats to current public land designations that protect places like Bears Ears National Monument. Inaction in the face of these threats would let down our community of customers, peers, and future generations of athletes.

After all, GU Energy Labs was created to help athletes push through physical boundaries. Stunning landscapes like Bear Ears National Monument motivate us to explore these boundaries and discover what we are capable of accomplishing. Earlier this year, we contributed $25,000 to a new program of the Conservation Alliance – the Public Lands Defense Fund  – and we’re committed to staying engaged through campaigns and events that help generate action and education.
