WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? WHAT'S YOUR WHY?
10 years ago I could barely walk a mile and lived a very limited life. I never really believed I could change so I never did. Until one day. Little by little I started reshaping my lifestyle and picked up running along the way. One mile became two miles, then four, then ten, a half marathon, then a full. Now, I opt for 200+ ultramarathons and continue to stay motivated thanks to this never-ending curiosity to see where my body can take me. It truly is wild to find yourself miles from civilization looking at unbelievable views, knowing the only way someone could see it is by getting there with their own body. I guess that idea in itself is my why.
HOW ARE YOU DOING GOOD IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
My goal is simple: to inspire others to believe in themselves. All it takes sometimes is one person to flip the switch, and I hope I can make that happen for as many people as possible.
I’ve also started a small run club (with my partner Scott) to get people out the door one Sunday a month, where we shuffle together for a short fun run then meet back at the cars for coffee and treats catered by us. We held our first meetup last Sunday and surprisingly, 26 people showed up. Let’s see if we can inspire even more to make the next one.
