ABOUT
In 1986 I saw the first LA Marathon on tv and decided to run a marathon the following year. Five months later I ran my first Marathon at 42 years of age.
In 1992, after finishing 10 marathons, I saw a magazine article about Ironman (Kona) and decided I wanted to try that. I was a Sales Executive in a software company, managing a large organization. I took a 6 months leave and trained, qualified and raced in Kona, at the age of 48. I continued racing IM races until the age of 71, when I retired from IM racing to focus on 70.3 racing.

NUTRITION TIPS
When I run, I carry my Energy Gel packets in my sports bra. In order to be eco-responsible, I put the empty Gel packets back in my bra and empty out when I find a receptacle. I’ve been running with GU since the days before there were other carrying devices and I’ve gotten so used to this way, I can’t break the habit. And it works!
