If you are racing Ironman or long distance triathlon it's a no brainer - 10 to 15 gels inside an aero bottle, add some water, a capsule or 2 of BCAAs and a capsule or 2 of Electrolytes, shake it, put in the fridge, and the next morning you will be ready to fly during the bike course! Remember to try it in training as well.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? WHAT'S YOUR WHY?
The process that starts in January, when training is back in full swing, and ends with the last race of the season. Seeing the overall picture for the year to come gives me all the motivation I need to wake up in the morning and give my very best. In term of why, it definitely is the chance I have as an Endurance Coach to help out people in achieving their goals, their dreams, and to push them through some hard moments in their lives. That’s all I need to be happy, day after day!
HOW ARE YOU DOING GOOD IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
Being part of a triathlon club and being a coach, it comes easy to help the triathlon and endurance communities every day. From helping with selecting the right gears, races to fit best the calendars, social rides and runs, to social events such as happy hours, dinners, training camp, or just a weekend away to disconnect while sharing my knowledge. And also if there is a GU’d event around the corner I’m normally there to help spread the love for GU and the importance of having the correct nutrition and hydration strategy during racing and training.
