WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? WHAT'S YOUR WHY?

Cycling was an unexpected gift in my life. I was welcomed in by a community that accepted where I was, and who I was-supported me on my journey, and believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.

I often find myself surrounded by amazing humans, and ask myself, " How did I get here? How do I find myself among these brilliant spirits? What have I done to deserve this community of kind, thoughtful, and gracious folks?" The bike brought me here, to this brilliant circle of friends-and I have learned more about life, letting go, trying easier, and also giving my best than I ever could have imagined. And while I continue to learn and grow and develop, as a person and a cyclist, I want to share what cycling has given me with others. And that is the inspiration and the "why" behind Special Blend Gravel. If I can help provide the opportunity and potential life-changing experiences and relationships, through riding  bikes, my heart is full. And, at the end of the day, a full heart you can share with others is the best gift I could ever be given.

HOW ARE YOU DOING GOOD IN YOUR COMMUNITY?

I strive to create inclusive spaces where people of all abilities can experience the joy and empowerment of cycling. Through Special Blend Gravel, I aim to foster connection, build community, inspire growth, and help others find confidence on and off the bike. For me, doing good is about giving back the inspiration, support, and encouragement that the cycling community has so generously shared with me.
