WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO COMPETE? WHAT'S YOUR WHY?
I'm no longer driven to compete. For me, it's about being outside, running next to my BRF (best running friend), soaking up the scenery, laughing, and chatting. And when all that isn't enough to get me out the door, there's always my endless quest for #foundchange: Found a quarter, nickel, and six pennies on today's rainy 5-mile run. That's what I call #winning !!!
WHAT'S YOUR GU MOMENT?
The first marathon I ever practiced fueling earlier in a race--at mile 2 instead of mile 4--was the first marathon I ever ran a negative split. It was 2014 Victoria Marathon (marathon #12 for this mother runner), and it was the second time I BQ'd. So cheers to fueling earlier, as well as consistently!
